So Sorry! I had every intention to keeping this blog up to date and here it is two months without an update. I would love to blame our crazy busy summer, but it was really just my laziness. I can't believe it is already September though. The kids started school work about a month ago. It has been a bit hectic trying to get a good schedule again, but hopefully it will start to smooth out soon. Levi is doing great in Kindergarten and well on his way to reading. Sammy is way more independent this year then in previous year. It is a nice and welcome change. Kayleigh is coming into a very tough year. Fourth grade is where they start to expect way more out of you and she just hasn't gotten the hang of all the work yet. She will get there though!
We didn't get to do much over the summer, between the heat and tim working like crazy (not bad) we just hung around here. The older two traveled a bit: Disney world with my parents (for Aunt Kristins wedding), and plane trip to Michigan for a week with my mom. Sammy also went to the Steelers training camp with some good friends of ours and had the best time ever. But Tim Levi and I are due for a vacation hehe. The picture above is Kayleigh and Levi at the dirt track races near the house, we had a fun time!
I've been kind of slack on my running this summer, which sucks. But when I can only get up so early to go and at 7am it was mid 80's with 90% humidity I couldn't make myself get out there, I just don't have that desire. LOL But I'm back at it now, not at the 6-8 miles I was before july, but getting there. I won't be ready for the 10k in October but hopefully soon! I've been pretty stagnant on the actual weight loss since about march too. I continue to hover around the 90 pound gone mark, I'd like to get another 10 or so off but at least I haven't gained anything either. In January it will be two years since I started loosing and honestly this is the longest that I have stuck with anything. I guess that even after a bad day or a bad week, at the end of the day, this is turning out to be a lifestyle change. I feel so much better and just have to stop beating myself up over the little things.
And last but not least, we adopted a big ole lummox dog about 3 weeks ago. I was dead set against getting a dog, just wasn't on my list of things to do. But we went to an event for rescued dogs and Reggie just pulled us in. Seriously it's like he was made more us, plays hard and rests even harder LOL And the kiddos love him to death so that's all that matters. The pic below is Reg in his favorite position... Enjoy :)

I hate remodeling!
So I said that I was going to keep up with this blogging thing and then it's two weeks before another post, sheesh! But I do have a good excuse, kinda, right after that last post I got sick. I actually had been feeling bad for awhile but chalked it up to allergies, apparently I was wrong. And then after I was finally better, my computer cord decided to break, so no laptop for a week :( It is so hard typing on my phone, I just couldn't bring myself to do a post.
This is our room before--yes it is orange and I liked it, but it is impossible to change anything so I got bored.
And this is after--I love it! It was worth the work. It is a nice khaki color.
So onto my thoughts for today, whether you want to hear them or not LOL. We decided about a month ago to finally get carpet in our upstairs. We have lived in this house for almost seven years and pulled up the carpet shortly after that and have had bear floors ever since. I'm not one for "projects", I don't even like to clean much. Shocking, I know, but I have way to many other things that I would rather be doing. We figure that we will probably be here another three to five years so trying to get the house in order with an eye on selling, thus the carpet idea. I don't know which of us decided to pick the busiest month of the summer but either way, we did. Besides the carpet, we had to repaint everything, of course, and put subfloors in all the rooms. But possibly the worst part is that these rooms have to be completely empty!! Seriously our stuff is now crammed in my living room, I can't take much more. The install is friday and we still have one room to put the subfloor in and trim to paint. I have scrubbed enough baseboards and walls these past three weeks to last me a life time. Also on Friday, we head out to Georgia for the holiday. That's right, I'm packing for a four day trip on top of all of this other stuff. Stressed isn't even a word in my vocabulary anymore. So i am giving permission to slap me silly to anyone who hears me ever say the words "it would be fun to do a full remodel"
On to happier things, I finally finished Kayleigh's cardi I made for the fall. It was a nail biter though. I bought the yarn and then decided at the last minute to make a bigger size so she could wear it longer, but when I went to buy another ball of yarn they had discontinued the whole line. I literally finished with inches of yarn left. I only had to modify it a bit but only I can tell. :) Working on some socks now--my favorite, will post the pics when I am done.

Beer and Bananas for Breakfast--it's how a Warrior Rolls
So we have been toying with starting a blog for awhile now. I like facebook, it seems to reach a ton of people, but there is only so much you want to write or that others want to read on there. So here we are, thanks for visiting and reading.
Last weekend Tim and I did the warrior dash, it was so much fun! We weren't too sure what to expect and it was nothing that we thought it would be. I basically had to force Tim to do it with me and he is already planning at least two more next year, maybe more. This is so not something that I would have even done just a year ago. I definitely had to basically force myself to do this race, even so, there were multiple times that a panic attack nearly over took me. But I feel like I conquered alot of demons and faced many fears by doing this race. I'm so glad that I didn't totally disregard it earlier this year. There were costumes, lots of mud, and challenges along the way. Everyone plan on running (or walking with tim) next year! I know that there is Georgia one and an Ohio one that we are planning, I will keep everyone posted of when registration opens!
The kids loved watching us and especially the warrior hat that has barely left Levi's head since Saturday. So Saturday morning before 9am, we were drinking beer, eating bananas, and covered in drying mud. Life is good!!
